The steering leads the 2014 Ford Fusion record at 24%, with powertrain next at 17%. Of the steering reports that give a mileage, half came before 73,000 miles. The costliest part on our cost list is the electric power steering rack, $561 to $1,202 for the part alone.

The steering leads again, with loss of power assist in about four in ten steering complaints. About a third of the engine complaints mention coolant.

2014 Ford fusion all recalls have been done. While turning a slight corner steering wheel locked no power steering for a short distance, after finishing the corner steering wheel began to work again. I can not afford a $2000 dollar repair bill on something that is obviously a defective part. Recall this Ford before someone gets killed. 82,000 kms on car well maintained no other issues thus far?
Was driving at low speed on the highway when "steering assist failure pull over safely" light came on and power steering went out. The vehicle only has 57,000 miles and we took it to Ford for repair and they will have to replace the electric rack assembly due to a short in the gear box...

My 2014 Ford fusion steering wheel became unstable and I drifted into a manhole in the street. And totaled my car. I have reported this to Ford as of october 2017
After a media report about loose steering wheels, I checked my steering wheel and it was loose. I brought it in for service and the technician diagnosed a loose steering wheel, tightened it and applied threadlocker to the bolt. They charged me $62.01 to fix. *bf

Not shifting properly and a leak. There is a recall # 18v169000 but it does not include this particular Ford fusion even though this is happening to my car.
This vehicle has a noise in the transmission when you accelerate or use the gas. The noise is getting increasingly louder and I have been told that it is a known issue with these hybrid Ford fusions. It only has 115,000 miles.

Purchased the car used, with 77,600 miles on it. After owning it a couple days, started noticing an issue. When pressing gas to go, the car hesitates and will not accelerate. Feels like the car is going to stall, shakes a bit. We took it to a Ford dealer, who "reset the computer to adjust to my son's driving". Did not fix the problem. Was told clutch issue and would cost $1300 to repair!!!! No way.
My Ford fusion eco has a message transmission not in park and l care lost power I almost got hit by another car . What is the issie was on the street going about 35 mph in40 nph zone
Our 2014 Ford fusion has 81415.5 miles and last night we lost power while driving, the accelerator was unresponsive and the engine was idling real rough. So we got it home and into our garage now the car when trying to start it just sputters and dies. Ford said ho well, its your problem.
The car has been making a noise for over a year, while it was still under warranty I was told it was no big deal, but now it has cascaded into a full transmission failure. My car is only 4 years old and doesn't even have 100,000 miles yet.I bought a hybrid so it would last longer, not shorter than the average car

Electronic throttle body. My Ford fusion (2014) engine shuts off. The scenario is that after driving it on my commute (40 miles / 1 hour driving) and then stopping quickly to grab food, when I leave the parking lot it will shut down. I pull over and then start it back up and drive away. It has happened a few times.

2014 Ford fusion se, the trunk will open its' own, usually when I unlock the vehicle via the integrated keypad and, occasionally when using the key fob remote. The vehicle has also popped the trunk while unattended, while no effort to unlock the trunk was being made, by any means. This means that the vehicle is rendered unsecured, by its' own defect.

I was leaving my home and the brakes failed. When pushing the brakes the tension gave way and the pedal just sank to the floor and the brakes stopped working. There was a similar recall for 2010 Ford fusions. Now the brakes do not engage at all they can be pushed with 0 effort to the floor and do not do anything.
Front brake hoses ruptured 3 months apart. Left failed first. While stopped at a red light, the pedal gave way and traveled to the floor. Right failed today. While stopped in a fast food drive-thru line, the pedal gave way and traveled to the floor.

Brake pedal all of a sudden started sinking to the floor while driving down the road. Brake pads, calipers are good no leaks and replaced master cylinder. Pedal still sinks to the floor when braking. Dangers. Called dealer about recalls. They said is none.
Under moderate braking, brake pedal went to the floor - red brake light came on and I had little to no braking. Vehicle was on 25mph neighborhood street - had to brake suddenly for a dog. Was only 1/4 mile from home and was able to get into garage. Found a puddle of brake fluid from left front. Removed wheel and found left front brake line ruptured near fitting crimp opposite end from caliper..
