2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Problems and Recalls: What Owners Report

24 mention an injury, 104 a fire
The electrical system leads the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee record at 49%, with engine next at 17%. Of the electrical system reports that give a mileage, half came before 70,000 miles. The costliest part on our cost list is the alternator, $120 to $879 for the part alone.
It's a count of reports, not a failure rate. Use it to decide what to inspect before buying, not to grade the car.
Nearly half of the complaints name the electrical system, many of them stalling, and alternators that may suddenly fail are under recall 14V-634 on the 3.6L. Brake complaints follow a recall for a brake booster that can let water in (14V-154).
Its one documented power module (TIPM) fault is the fuel pump relay, which can stall the engine; 19V-813 replaces that relay and its wiring for free, after 14V-530 and 15V-115. NHTSA's DP14-004 review found no valid evidence for the wider airbag, acceleration or fire claims.

My jeep has been stalling multiple times when trying to start it. One night when I tried to start it, it would not turn on. I brought it to the dealership and they changed the fuel relay on it, however I just brought it back 2 days ago for the same problem. They replaced it again, however when picking it up it stalled again.
Unexpected stall while driving. Happened twice this week monday 4/25 while turning and 4/28/16 while driving in a 45 mph road (grand river, farmington hills). This touch has been previously serviced by dealer for recall notice and has not helped the issue at all!

Last saturday (01/31/2015), I got 48k service done on this jeep. Yesterday (02/02/2015) the steering wheel got jammed when my wife was reversing the vehicle from the driveway. We found out that the power steering fluid was missing. I took the jeep back to the dealer and they found that the power steering fluid container is leaking.
Brought my 2012 jeep grand cherokee to the dealership that I purchased it from 6 months prior for an oil change.
